We Have Arrived: ZimDev Empowerment Hub Opens Its Doors in Chitungwiza
A new chapter of hope, opportunity, and community transformation has begun in Chitungwiza with the official launch of the ZimDev Empowerment Hub—a beacon of possibility for vulnerable children and youth across Zimbabwe.
The opening of the ZimDev Empowerment Hub represents more than the unveiling of a new facility. It symbolizes the culmination of years of dedication, the unwavering belief in Zimbabwe's youth, and the power of community-led development. On launch day, over 520 community members—220 adults and 301 children—gathered to celebrate this momentous milestone that promises to reshape countless young lives.
This impressive new Hub is more than just a physical structure; it is a centre of excellence, a beacon of hope, and the tangible expression of our commitment to uplift our community.
A Celebration of Community and Hope
The launch event was an overwhelming triumph, perfectly encapsulating the organization's spirit through inspiring speeches from key stakeholders, vibrant performances showcasing local talent, and comprehensive tours of the new facility. Attendees explored the state-of-the-art Digital Lab and various programme areas, witnessing firsthand the spaces where transformation will happen.

The launch of the Chitungwiza Hub marks just the beginning of ZimDev's ambitious Vision 2030. Over the next five years, the organization plans dramatic expansion, extending geographic reach into neighboring communities including St Mary's, Hopely, Epworth, and Mbare.

Under the leadership of Directors Melody Chipfuwamiti (Development) and Payne Makuvatsine (Projects), the team includes volunteer project managers, community mobilizers, and coaches who work tirelessly to deliver high-quality programmes.
